Myer R. Singer (1938-2020) moved to Cape Cod from the Boston area in 1965 after graduating from Boston University College of Business and School of Law. During the 1970’s, he began concentrating in zoning and land use permitting law and became the go-to lawyer for such matters large and small until he retired in 2010. He was respected in Town Halls across Cape Cod and throughout the community. Myer was a kind and gentle man who was always meticulously prepared, quintessentially professional, and infinitely polite.
In addition to raising three children with his wife of fifty-eight years, Myer was also active in the Cape Cod community. He was a long-time Corporator and Trustee of The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank and the Vice-Chairman of the Board for both the Bank and the Cape Cod Five Mutual Company. He was also a member of the Barnstable County and American Bar Associations and served over the years with numerous local organizations, including Legal Services of Cape Cod and Islands, Inc., Dennis-Yarmouth Band Parents Association, Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, Cape Cod Foundation, Cape Cod Men’s Club, Cape Cod Synagogue, and Yarmouth Food Pantry.
Myer will be missed.
